About the game
A multiplayer 3D sumo game where two to four players push each other out of the ring in short, chaotic bouts — with computer opponents to practice against.
The idea
We set out to make a quick, easy-to-learn multiplayer party game for Android phones, with rounds that stay perfectly in sync between players.
How we built it
Mini Sumo is built with React Three Fiber and TypeScript, using Colyseus on Node.js for private rooms, a synced 3-2-1 countdown, bouts and results. It is packaged for Android with Capacitor and released through GitHub Actions.
